MU OmicsLab contributed to the 2026 OpenTox Summer/Autumn Internship Programme, an international virtual training initiative for early-career researchers interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence, toxicology and biomedical data science.
Assoc. Prof. Yordan Yordanov joined the programme as a supervisor for projects spanning data-driven pharmacogenomics, AI-assisted safety assessment and scientific web-resource development.
The three-month part-time programme was designed around practical research projects rather than conventional coursework, with selected projects having the potential to evolve into scientific publications or reusable web-based research tools.
Participation in initiatives of this type reflects an important part of the MU OmicsLab philosophy: students and young scientists can contribute meaningfully to real research problems when computational tools, scientific mentoring and clearly defined biological questions are brought together.
