Members of the CardioPharmaGENET COST Action met at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt, Germany, for the network’s first Annual Meeting.
Assoc. Prof. Yordan Yordanov participated representing Medical University - Sofia, contributing to discussions on the future of cardiovascular pharmacogenomics and precision medicine.
The meeting brought together researchers, clinicians, industry representatives, patient stakeholders, policymakers and Young Research Innovators. Discussions included available research infrastructure and expertise, the current state of pharmacogenomics in cardiovascular medicine, development of clinically relevant gene panels, and opportunities to integrate omics, systems biology and computational approaches.
For MU OmicsLab, participation in CardioPharmaGENET connects our growing work in biomedical data science and AI-assisted analysis with an international network focused on translating pharmacogenomic knowledge into more individualized cardiovascular therapy.
